Domorato vs. JimPaladin is a YTP Tennis match that began on April 12, 2016. It is well known for being among the longest 1v1 matches in terms of round count of its kind, the titling conventions for every round being "ytp [noun]", in addition to ultimately being one of the most irreverent, anarchistic, chaotic and only barely-definable matches ever played in the history of tennis. While it began in a loosely traditional and largely parodic style of tennis between just the two starting players, the seemingly random intrusion of completely unrelated videos as official "rounds" of the match by Lusmno and 333ajc, beginning with "ytp arthur's christmas", ultimately served to send the match completely off the rails, with previous rounds becoming not used entirely and both the original players ultimately forgetting at multiple points what round they were on, leading to some round numbers being skipped, marked for two different videos and on videos out of sequence. The full match is unviewable, with many of the rounds privated by both primary players, leaving what is viewable of the full match extremely fragmented. The earliest viewable round currently is Round 12 ("ytp curb") followed by Round 20 ("ytp rigamarole") and Round 34 ("ytp calories"). The original thread on the Youchew Forums would be posted in until June 4, 2018, with user Nettika posting on behalf of both players, who had since been banned from the forums for both their second time. Domorato's Round 66 of this match, "ytp sexer", has subsequently gone on to become one of the most popular Youtube Poops of the modern age as a standalone video, with "ytp broly" (also by Domorato) subsequently also becoming a hit its own right. The match in itself helped to spawn the "ironic YTP" style, setting the stage for the trends to develop across the medium for the next decade.
Origins
Both JimPaladin and Domorato were somewhat infamous figures in the initial Youchew community, both being active posting and making videos during 2008 and both getting banned from the forum that year respectively for abusive behavior and continuous spam. In the mid 2010s, a reassessment was undertaken by the modern staff of the forums of various members who had been banned in the past for ultimately minor or juvenile offenses, resulting in a wave of repeals that led to both Domorato and JimPaladin being welcomed back onto the forum, though the latter spent his return time under the "Juvenile Corrections" group due to his past behavior. Sometime within this interim, they apparently decided to do a quote-on-quote "ytp tennis match" together, in the way that only two disgruntled and nonconformist members of their generation could play one.
The Match Begins
On April 12, 2016, JimPaladin created a thread in the "Tennis: In Progress" section on Youchew titled "domorato vs. jimpaladin two weirdos of the poop world colide". The opening post contained his serve along with "Ha Ha Been awhile since I made one of this crazy vids but here goes nothing. Round 1 hope you like it and look forward to seeing what domorato "cooks" up (did I say that right LMFAO?)". Round 2 was posted two hours later, and the match from there progressed and devolved at a mind bogglingly rapid pace, making it to 27 rounds by the end of the month, all of which made mostly very miniscule edits to the previous rounds, showing a clear progression. Many rounds would sometimes be responded to in less than an hour. A few members were already taking notice, with dani_phantump commenting 4 rounds in "this match is absolutely ridiculous and I love it" and Peskeh commenting "i very strongly dislike this match ". At Round 6 mapo commented "This is possibly one of the most strangest tennis matches I have ever seen." and at Round 17 TheChutley encouraged the two of them to "go to one hungred rounds". This phase of the match is typified by the repeated use and readdition of "Space Goofs", a french animated series from 1997.
At about Round 27 or 28, the match began to become even more lawless, as videos were posted as the next rounds but were otherwise entirely unrelated traditionally to the match at hand at all, and some round numbers were either skipped entirely, posted out of order, or twice. Losmno joined the match at what would have generally been Round 45, but this was volleyed into what Domorato labelled as Round 45 instead. It was two months after this that "ytp sexer" was posted(with the comment "COOL ROUND"), initially unlisted on July 9, before becoming public 2 years and 4 days later. The match stalled at either Round 99 or 100 (the former seemed to be posted after the latter) when both Domo and Jim were banned from the forums once again. Their subsequent rounds were posted by Nettika on their behalf, the match reaching as far as Round 104 before the thread ended. While not adhering to and in many cases completely ignoring orthodox tennis conventions, this technically could be considered as the first 100+ round tennis match in history.
