YouChew

YouChew, also known as YouChewPoop, YCP and more, was the original forum site for Youtube Poop and YTP Tennis, active from June 4, 2007 to September 30, 2018. Tennis has its origins from here, as the site's original owner and creator was conradslater, who invented the initial concept and played the first tennis match with Misselaineous10 in August of 2007.

The site has a very deep and complex history, riddled with controversy and good times. But it was unsustainable in the long run, as the divide between the Youtube Poop-centric part of the community and the more grown up, generalized interest part of the community grew very large, and a decision was made by the final admin staff of the forum to close the site in Summer 2018. In it's death came the rise of YTPMania as the general YTP hub, but nothing will ever come close to YouChew in its glory days. Lest we forget.

Like YTPMania, the tennis section of the site was run by the Café Staff, originally formed by RabbitSnore, who was one of the two site owners who succeeded Conrad in late March of 2008. Efforts were originally taken to present tennis as just as essential of a part of YTP as any other of its branches, with the site's old News Staff, including RabbitSnore himself, regularly writing articles about tournaments and key matches being played from 2007 until 2009. After this point, RabbitSnore largely became preoccupied with both running the forums and with real life before resigning in August of 2010, and the overall interests of the News Staff(renamed the Writing Staff) shifted to more general topics such as music, visual media, and the general non-tennis scope of Youtube Poop. When blogs became an added feature of the site, dani_phantump made an attempt in 2014 and 2015 to revive what RabbitSnore had started with her own match reviews and a promotion for the Tennis League 4.

Chewiki

The Chewiki was mostly an anarchistic, wild and unruly shitpost thousands of pages big that was about as accurate as you could get to a "bible" of the YTP scene in information, misinformation, a manifest of hundreds of juvenile imaginations and its own gleeful sense of laughing at itself. Even in the midst of many, many pages of fictional characters being described as a plethora of slurs, or as engaging in a variety of abhorrent activities, It contained tons of information about how to do basically anything in the world of YTP/Tennis. On top of that, it had information about many popular sources, YTPers, techniques, you name it!

Chewiki shut down with YouChew, however archives still exist. Unfortunately as the years went by it fell further and further out of date: while new YTP wikis took its place, many paled in comparison in terms of written content. And on top of that, none existed for tennis until the formation of ytptenniswiki in summer of 2024.

History

NewChew

A revival of YouChew often referred to as NewChew was spearheaded by Dopply starting in late 2019, lasting only a few months.

Few archives, if any, exist of this iteration of the site. Only one tennis match was partaken to completion during this era: mrdoognoog vs. Boundless. The Tennis Minicompetition II was started but was not finished when the site went down; it eventually finished off-site.

Planet Freedom

Planet Freedom served as a fallback forum while the site was down for various reasons.

YTPMania

YTPMania filled the gap for YTP-related forum content once YouChew went down. It later was succeeded by YellowTealPurple.
