Vs. Everyone matches, also known as an Everyone Chain are a special type of Chain that involves one player playing volleying off a different player every time. It was first conceived by GameBop on August 23, 2011, as a special one-of-a-kind way to mark their 21st birthday.

An everyone chain blurs the line between definitions of a Chain and Multi-Way match. There is a long list of players who only play once, but there is also a set rotation (albeit somewhat arbitrary).

Format

The general format goes like this:

  • The host serves.
  • The first player in the list volleys - round 2.
  • The host volleys - round 3.
  • A 'different' player volleys - round 4.
  • The host volleys yet again -round 5.

...and so on, until the host gets bored and stops responding or the match concludes at a certain point.

The "every other" format described above is considered a "vanilla" vs. everyone match. However, some versions of this format let two people or more play before the host serves again.
