mrdoognoog vs mafar_ is a tennis match that was played from Aug 28, 2018 to Feb 3, 2019. It is the origin of the ":child:" tennis meme as well as considered mrdoognoog's "breakout match". The match has proven very popular, with rounds ranging from one to forty thousand views (particularly on mafar_'s side.
The match is incredibly effect-heavy; both players at the time focused on making visual spectacles to create a memorable match. While not the first to do it by any means, the match helped popularize 3D trails and many other techniques that would become commonplace during this era of tennis. Similar to other matches of its style, not many sources were added. The serve uses "Kid Destroys Computer in Tech Class!" as its primary source - a (fake) video of a student destroying his laptop and getting scolded by his teacher. Other sources include Knobbelboy's 98% fail on the Geometry Dash level "Bloodlust", and sound effects from SpongeBob and Bill O'Riley.
