Microsoft Paint, also known as MS Paint or just Paint, is a raster image editor created by Microsoft that has been present in some form since the very first version of Windows in 1985. Originally derived from ZSoft's "PC Paintbrush", the program has had many iterations over its lifecycle.
It is a very rudimentary painting program, with very simple tools and a lack of modern editing features (like layers, at least until Windows 11). However, this primitivity has given it lasting charm; when facing deprecation on Windows 10, the outcry was so much that Paint remained, and Microsoft instead discontinued its intended successor, Paint 3D.

Paint Trails
Select a portion of an image, hold shift, then click it once. While still holding shift, then drag the selection around. You will be able to "stamp" the drawing around, creating a trail behind it. This can be turned into a dynamic trail if you screen record the exact process using something like OBS.
