Sploltoen vs laromande is a YouTube Poop/Video tennis match that took place from May 14 to June 13, 2015. Part of the 5th set of the Tennis League 4 in division B, the match is a soccer-themed bout between two of the biggest technical powerhouses of the time. Most of the footage added were from primarily European soccer games (such as Chelsea FC, of which the titles of each round are named after), their logos, and other related content (see rounds for full lists). The match is also categorized by its almost excessive use of flashy, colorful visual effects; both players made gratituious use of Databending both video and audio (often by running non-media files through media players) and Datamoshing on top of Trails and many forms of 3D Shapes. Despite this reliance on effects there is clear usage of previous ideas through each round, with structures often being expanded into bigger ones or reworked into new things. Each round also made clever usage of Cutoff Prevention, uncommon for tennis (let alone YTP) of this period.

It is around the 21st match played by laromande[1] and the 31st completed match played by Sploltoen[2]. The match was highly applauded at release and became a precursor to the much more visual-complexity focused styles of the late 2010's. Part of this popularity can be attributed by many of the rounds' inclusions in Zekii's "Multirendering method" playlist which garnered significant attention around the same time period.

The match was one of seven pesudo-ties of TL4's set 5, an increasingly common occurrence as the tournament went on (set 4 had eight.)[3] The tiebreaker went to laromande, who would end up making the final and being third overall for the entire tournament. [4] As this was the final set before the final "regular set" before the final match, this would be Sploltoen's last match of the tournament. Both players would appear again in the Doubles Cup 3.
