The following is a list of video editors and compositors that have seen notable use in the tennis community. This is not a definitive list of all editors used in tennis, nor a definitive list of all editors in general.
Apple's flagship professional video editor. Saw extensive usage in early tennis by players like GreatBritishTurd but nowadays is much more uncommon. Has a plugin suite known as CHV-Plugins.
Apple's other, freeware, video editor. Comes bundled with almost all their devices. First released in 1999 with OS8 before being released for iOS in 2010.
Short for "Media Lovin' Toolkit", these editors are all based on the same editor framework. Popular ones include Kdenlive (pictured to the right), Shotcut, and Flowblade. Work great with Linux but many are also multi-platform.
Video Editor initially from 2001 that offers more of a budget-friendly editor experience. A match was attempted between mrdoognoog and CorruptionSound that would last only during the trial period, which unfortunately failed
Mobile/Desktop/Web editor by ByteDance (creators of TikTok). Lots of AI features.
SGI Movie Maker (moviemaker)
Default video editor for the defunct IRIX operating system. A full match was played using only this editor between Eli Santin and mrdoognoog, with little use seen elsewhere.
Olive
Premiere Pro-like video editor built from the ground up. Has a fork called Oak that allows for OFX support.
Hitfilm Pro
Video editor by FXHome and later Artilist, who have since abandoned it. Also rebranded as MAGIX Vegas Effects, which was discontinued after Vegas 22. Not to be confused with the effect suite Hitfilm Ignite Pro.
Discontinued compositor that could "hook" into other editors to provide the BCC suite of plugins into them. Last version produced was roughly version 5.6 in 2015.
