VidTens443 vs. dani_phantump is a YouTube Poop/Video tennis match that took place from November 18 to December 8, 2019. Taking place during the third set of the Tennis League 5, the match had been highly anticipated by both of its players.[1] While falling under the "Wildcard" ruleset for the set, the match took a different, "Very Experimental" approach by instead relying on a website implementing Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies for every round (except round 2). The game was highly regarded for its time by both its players and audience, with some even calling for a "friendly tie" [2] out of respect. dani_phantump's roster has the following retrospective commentary:

"The one match I played in this tournament that felt like a genuine challenge, and one I very much had to work for to win, which was so satisfying to pull off. VidTens came at me with some extremely specific wildcard restrictions for Round 2, but I otherwise used this match to invent a new variant called "Oblique Strategies Tennis", where rather than choose specific restrictions, these are chosen by an outside system that give no real direct instructions and are meant to be recreated interpretively. For three of the four rounds of this match we operated under these kinds of experimental conditions and I would say that the launch of this variant was a success. I need to actually play another match of this kind though!"[3]
The match uses a wide variety of sources, a majority of which were supplied by VidTens. Added TV and movies include Kukori Es Kotkoda, the Kyorochan anime, a commercial for Coors Light, Garfield and Friends, The Pokemon anime (particularly scenes from Diamond and Pearl and Best Wishes involving the Pokemon Riolu, Lucario and Mawile), Onegai My Melody, Nichijou, the pilot for A Kitty Bobo Show (2001), educational OVA Get Going! Godzilland - You Can Count! Counting 1-2-3! (1994), Limmy's Show, and Unico and the Island of Magic (1983). Added YouTube and other web media include GetDustOff's infamous "How to Properly Clean your Gaming Computer" (2010), the announcement of Animal Crossing's Isabelle for Super Smash Bros Ultimate (2018), footage of a shirtless Korean man smashing his window with a chair, and "Leafy & Flare: Flash Fire Curse - Part 1" (2011) by SmashLuigi25, predominantly a scene where an Espeon looks angrily at the camera that recurs throughout the match. Added video games include the BIOS screens for the Game Boy Advance and Phillips CD-i, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA, 2003), Mario Teaches Typing 2 (PC, 1996), and Okami (Wii, 2006). Daft Punk's "Aerodynamite" (2001) also makes an appearance in the final round, of which one of the final round's restrictions was to have the whole round synced to the song. Many tennis rounds from the current and previous leagues were also added as part of the restriction for round 2, including rounds from Sploltoen vs. laromande (TL4), CorruptionSound vs. MycroProcessor (TL4), GameBop vs CheeChee (TL4), and Mapo vs. Razerek (TL5).
It was the 67th match completed by VidTens443[4] and the 106th match completed by dani_phantump. The voting would be very close, but dani_phantump would come out on top with 11 votes to 9.[5] Both players would fare very well for the remainder of the tournament, with VidTens eventually making it to the final match. The match was compiled by VidTens on his "VidTens443 Tennis Matches" account on July 7th, 2020 as part of a yearly wave of match uploads VidTens was involved in.
