Ultrasimplicity Tennis
Ultrasimplicity Tennis is a type of tennis that involves incredibly strict restrictions placed on what is allowed to be done.
Rules
- No plugins (or any video or audio effects for that matter) could be used of any kind, similar to NoPlug
- Videos could not be reversed, panned or cropped, sped up or slowed down, or pitch-shifted
- Transitioning, fading, and layering videos are also not allowed
- Videos can only be quantized to frames, thus non-quantized techniques such as hyperstuttering are not allowed
- Unlinking video and audio and editing them separately is allowed
- Editing is typically done using only two tracks, one for video and one for audio
History
The concept was initially thought of by aw8qn before the idea was expanded upon into a match with mrdoognoog. The style was largely response to the increasingly complex technical nature that modern tennis had become. Initially, the idea was to create a tennis format similar to the Simplicity Collabs, however it eventually ended up going even further with the restrictions to test the limits on what was possible. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLApT4ypNEuw20Q7WYChAq2GmYjWeivnXi
Later on, a Russian collab in the format was completed.
