FreeFrame, also known as FreeFrameGL or FFGL is a graphics library built off of OpenGL that is used to create real time video effects. [1]
There are two major versions; 1.0 and 1.5. The last update was in 2015.
Usage
FreeFrame plugins are commonly used in VJ software, which rely on real time visual changes. As a result, most compatible programs are VJ programs like VisualJockey.
Compatible Programs
- VisualJockey with the Green Hippo → Misc → FreeFrame Host
- Wax (which extends to any editor that supports it, like Vegas)
- FFRend 2, a simple FreeFrame renderer [2]
