FreeFrame, also known as FreeFrameGL or FFGL is a graphics library built off of OpenGL that is used to create real time video effects. [1]
There are two major versions; 1.0 (last updated 2003)[2] and 1.5 (last updated 2007). [3]
Usage
FreeFrame plugins were built for VJ programs, which rely on real time visual changes. As a result, most compatible programs are VJ programs like VisualJockey.
Compatible Programs
- VisualJockey with the Green Hippo → Misc → FreeFrame Host
- Wax (which extends to any editor that supports it, like Vegas)
- FFRend, a simple FreeFrame renderer. The current version is 2.2.07, released in 2012. [4]
