Tennis-Tennis

(Redirected from Tennis tennis)

Tennis-Tennis is a technique where previous unrelated tennis rounds are used as source material for another round. The key different is that the rounds are unrelated, as a universal part of regular tennis is using the previous rounds of the match.

It is similar in concept to recycling; existing rounds are re-used for matches they aren't necessarily a part of, but unlike recycling the project files are not being edited. The technique was popularized by VidTens443 who commonly uses other matches as part of their source pool.

Usage

All that is required for tennis-tennis is to download a round (or match) that is not the one currently being played, and use it in your video. A match that primarily uses other tennis rounds and no other sources is known as a tennis-tennis match.

Notable Examples

- GameBop's "Seconds, anyone?" (2010), made as a serve for the 3-Way Tennis Tournament match between them, Sploltoen and MycroProcessor is one of the earliest examples of an entire round adhering to the tennis-tennis format. The round uses countless other matches from that time period to craft one new video.

- VidTens443 coined the term "Tennis-Tennis" in a game with mrdoognoog from 2018 where the entire match was to only use tennis rounds. While the game ended up stalling out after four rounds, it left a lasting impression on VidTens' style and led to other rounds being sampled frequently in their videos.
