BMATF vs. Markie was a Youtube Poop/video tennis match that took place between August 19 to September 3, 2007. It was the second ever tennis match ever played, with Round 1 posted during the final rotation of conradslater vs. Misselaineous10 and on the same day that Round 1 of UncleChuckTH vs. conradslater was posted.^[1] TangerineImpz was almost Markie's opponent for this match, subsequently beginning a match with SeductiveBaz two days later.^[2] Originally with a swapped serve order, Markie's classes prevented them from completing a serve in time leading to BMATF to create one instead roughly a day after the game was announced.^[3] Rules for this match stipulated a 24 hour deadline for each round, a maximum of five "clips" that could be added in each, with a preference for each to be under three minutes, and no "win conditions" set.^[4] Sources used include Zelda: Wand of Gamalon (CD-i, 1993), Link: The Faces of Evil (CD-i, 1993), the 2007 slate of Volvic commercials, a Fox 11 report on hacker group Anonymous ("Hackers on STEROIDS"), Happy Tree Friends, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Lucky Star, the Super Mario World animated series, and Metalocalypse.

It was the first match played by both BMATF and Markie, and the first of three Markie matches throughout the years that would end on five rounds, followed by his matches with Furnessly(2008) and NS2(2012); Markie's first full 6 round match would be with GreatBritishTurd some months later. BMATF would continue to wonder as late as January 2009 about the possibility of Markie finishing the match with a proper Round 6, which never came to pass.^[5] BMATF lost his original "BigMarioAndTailsFan" account to termination on February 27, 2008^[6], causing the loss of most of his old tennis material for his matches played up to this point, including for this match; for many years his only surviving matches from this period were his games with ELPsteel and his three-way with UncleChuckTH and Wikiwow. Markie's rounds are among the few videos he made that he self deleted, though both were preserved albeit with the original titles lost. BMATF's rounds were uploaded onto Dailymotion with their titles intact, allowing them to be rediscovered. The match was first compiled into a single video on the YouWouldBeWelcome account in September 2025.
