Missadaxio

The Missadaxio project, also known as the MR1K is a YTP Tennis match created by system128 in August 2018, in collaboration with GnarpyFan4000 for early round production. Missadaxio was an early adopter of the "RxK" chain format, which takes the concept of an endless chain to the extreme, by contributing as many rounds as possible. It has been praised for being a "sandbox" for experimentation and being an attraction for newer players to the YTP Tennis scene. Other perks include its participants working fast to further its round count, and mass archival efforts from members of the community. Some players also have historically criticized it for having lower standards compared to most chains on what rounds are considered part of the match.

Despite this, the Missadaxio channel would go on to break multiple YTP Tennis records, the most well known being the record for the YTP Tennis match with more rounds than any other, currently sitting with a count of over 11,000, being built up over several years. The MR1K also has the most participants in one tennis match, with a whopping 158 members of the YTP Tennis community.

The MR1K is disguised as a "self-match" on the basis that it is contained within the confines of the Missadaxio channel, despite it technically being a chain with multiple participants. This is a remnant of the predecessor project "Mricencycl" which was displayed in the same manner.

Etymology

The Missadaxio channel name was generated randomly using the website, SpinXO.

MR1K follows the usual RxK naming format where extra letters or glyphs are put at the beginning of the title and "R1K" being the ultimate goal point for round count, which in this case, is 1,000.

History

Before Missadaxio, early members of the project were involved in a predecessor channel named "Mricencycl," which aimed for more or less the same ultimate goal that Missadaxio did, to reach 1,000 rounds and beyond. This match was just called the "R1K", which lasted from December 16, 2017 to July of 2018. Mricencycl was ill-fated after someone used the credentials to remove all of the videos on the channels, rendering the original R1K at failure at 388 rounds. The MR1K match began as a revival of the original R1K project between system128 and Slabsten84, with the former creating and uploading the serve to the channel on August 5, 2018.

Notable Rounds

The MR1K would reach 100 rounds on February 2, 2019. The first guest appearance happened on round 234 with mrdoognoog making a round on May 20, 2020. The MR1K would reach the original goal of 1,000 rounds on September 22, 2020. This match also became the first of multiple four-figure-rounded matches. The MR1K would reach round 10,000 on December 26, 2023. The MR1K is the only match to have a round count with five digits.
