This was later expanded upon for Ultrasimplicity Tennis, which take the restrictions even further.
This type of match was popular in the early 2020's as heavy use of plugins became more and more common; people wanted a return to the rare, if at all usage in the early days to see how much they could make without them (now armed with the current meta).

Matches will vary on what this means, but generally the definition of a "plugin" extends to any software other than your main editor. This means that if you're using Vegas primarily, using Audacity for some Databending effects is not allowed. Some matches will ignore this rule, however, and only disallow, literally, plugins (anything you plug into your editor of choice. No rules on other software.)

One of Tennis League 5's special match types was noplug.
