The following is a list of video editors and compositors that have seen notable use in the tennis community. This is not a definitive list of all editors used in tennis, nor a definitive list of all editors in general.

Video Editors

VEGAS (Sony Vegas) Arguably the most popular editor for tennis, an integral part of its world and great all-in-one video editor.
Adobe Premiere Pro The second most popular editor for tennis, a more professional leaning editor part of Adobe's Creative Suite. Windows only.
Final Cut Pro Apple's professional video editor.
iMovie Apple's other, freeware, video editor. Comes bundled with almost all their devices. First released in 1999 with OS8 before being released for iOS in 2010.
DaVinci Resolve Cross-platform video editor with free and paid versions; arguably the best video editor currently available for Linux.
MLT-Based video editors Short for "Media Lovin' Toolkit", these editors are all based on the same editor framework. Popular ones include Kdenlive (pictured to the right), Shotcut, and Flowblade. Work great with Linux but many are also multi-platform.
Debugmode Wax Older video editor well known for its classical 3D editing capabilities. Has a very distinct style.
CyberLink PowerDirector Video Editor initially from 2001 that offers more of a budget-friendly editor experience. A match was attempted between mrdoognoog and CorruptionSound that would last only during the trial period, which unfortunately failed

Video Star Free/paid mobile video editor known for its 3D capabilities
Kapwing Online video editor known for its prominence in the Kapwing Tennis Cup hosted by nm41

VideoPad Mid-tier video editor for Windows, Mac and mobile devices, costs 140$ or subscription plan. Windows version is compatible with VirtualDub filters.
CapCut (aka JianYing or ViaMaker) Mobile/Desktop/Web editor by ByteDance (creators of TikTok). Lots of AI features.
SGI Movie Maker (moviemaker) Default video editor for the defunct IRIX operating system. A full match was played using only this editor between Eli Santin and mrdoognoog, with little use seen elsewhere.

Olive Premiere Pro-like video editor built from the ground up. Has a fork called Oak that allows for OFX support.

Natron FOSS "Open Source Compositing Software For VFX and Motion Graphics". Latest version from November 2022. Compatible with OFX and G'MIC plugins.
Nuke
Boris RED (Avid FX) Discontinued compositor that could "hook" into other editors to provide the BCC suite of plugins into them. Last version produced was roughly version 5.6 in 2015.
