It was played as a part of the Set 2 lineup of matches, and was one of three to take place in this set's "winners" bracket; all three players had won their respective Set 1 matches, and whoever won this match would be one of three players to partake in the only winners bracket match of Set 3. This was roughly the ninth or so time that MycroProcessor and GameBop found each other together in the same match, and the first time that either player would play in a match with Sploltoen.

A match lineup involving the same three players, '''{{GameBop}} vs. {{Mycroprocessor}} vs. {{Sploltoen}}''', was later played as a part of the [[Multi-Way Tennis Tournament]], taking place between July 5 and August 10, 2014, almost within the exact same time window as the original match three years later. It was a part of the Set 4 lineup of matches, where by process of elimination, there were now three players left in each of the tournament's three brackets; this match was played as a part of the "Yellow" bracket. By this point in time, GameBop and MycroProcessor had now encountered each other about 17 or so times in various matches, MycroProcessor and Sploltoen had played each other in Set 2 of the [[Tennis Cup 4]], and GameBop and Sploltoen had encountered each other in 4 previous matches, but would not properly play each other 1v1 until the [[Tennis League 5]].  

To begin this match, GameBop revealed that on the very day that the lineup was announced that they had gotten the original main computer to work again with another new hard drive, and that the original files and status had remained in the same position that they were during the era of the original match. This allowed them to finally finish the original Round 7, and this match was essentially played as a long-delayed continuation.

By 2014, all three players' editing styles had considerably evolved, and the result was even more of a visual spectacle than what had come previously. GameBop and Sploltoen in particular played to considerable visual and technical strength, and as a result were the two players to advance following the conclusion of this match. This page catalogues both matches as if they were two branches of the same.
