'''Pinchbacks''' was a forum site and discord server that was initially hosted by {{MemeKirisame}} and {{nm41}}. Intended to be a spiritual successor to [[YTPMania|{{YTPMania}}]] made during its webmaster {{Smonge}}'s prolonged absence, it was the next big attempt at making a new "active" home for [[YTP]] and [[YTP Tennis]], as well as other forms of art. Pinchbacks' name comes from one of the taglines for YTP, sampled from ''Hotel Mario'': "Where there's smoke, they '''pinch back'''."

Pinchbacks had great ambitions but ultimately fell flat; the forum faced many problems and permanently closed shortly after launch, while the discord carried on until mid-January 2025, when it was closed by its then-owner, {{ThirtyTwelve}}.<ref>Discord voice conversation with {{Ivan187}}, 7 September 2025</ref>

The Pinchbacks website was launched in February 2022 as a SimpleMachines forum- a software considerably more 'old-fashioned' than that of YTPMania or even late-YouChew, yet one of the notable perks of the website was the ability for users to have custom HTML on one's user page, achieved via plugin. 

In early June, the site "exited beta" - and with that came a slight design refresh. <ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20220610143336/https://pinchbacks.net/</ref> Unfortunately, this did not fix many of the bugs: The site was incredibly unreliable to use and there were many problems with showing posts in the correct order, as well as many confusing buttons that did nothing across the site.

Like [[YouChew]], Pinchbacks had custom banners submitted by users, but these did not see any use past the June refresh. The thread for [[Doubles Cup 4]] was also (temporarily) migrated to the forum (and now is unfortunately lost).<ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20220610143336/https://pinchbacks.net/</ref>

As time continued, interest in the site dwindled - with the persistent technical issues, and a lack of passion and interaction from the staff, and the Discord server overshadowing the site, users never really found any attachment to the forum, and so it closed around September 2022.<ref>Discord voice conversation with {{infinitysnapz}}, 7 September 2025</ref> Forum activity generally returned to YTPMania, however Discord servers like [[The Tennis Isles]] became more and more of a home for tennis. This would remain the case until YTPMania's closure and the launch of [[YellowTealPurple|{{YellowTealPurple}}]] in late 2024.
