The [[Match of the Day]] or '''MOTD''' is a program created by the [[Tennis Staff]] starting on November 2, 2025 to showcase various notable [[tennis]] games around the community, both past and present. Usually, every day a member of the staff offers to select a match which is posted to the Tennis Café as well as a dedicated channel in [[The Tennis Isles]] at the start of the day. These matches are usually compiled to channels like {{maniafax}} (if not done already) so players can watch the whole game in a single video.

'''Tennis League 3''' or '''TL3''' was the third [[tennis tournament]] of the league format, and the fourth tournament overall. It was fourth and final tournament that was principally organized by Gallers but became largely hosted by Terrorist, starting on August 2, 2008 and becoming officially failed by October 19 of that year. It was intended to be closer in style to that of the Tennis Cup in its voting style with the only major difference being the matches sticking to just 4 rounds; the amount of participants as a result of this were twice the amount of the second league, dividing everyone by four groups. It is notable for being one of the few tournaments to fail outright due to the eventual lack of replacements for players that dropped out.

Despite the ill fate of this event, it was the first tennis competition to feature ThaNuke, zacheatscrackers, Erarg, Aesaun, WowComics, RealGenericFilms, vvaluigi and Rillion. It was also the final tennis competition to feature NS2, Temeku/MTB710, TheDarkRises and UncleChuckTH, and the only competition to feature DrKelexo and thewafflemaster.

Originally, RAKninja was aiming to be the host of the next Tennis League, conceiving of a team-based format in July 2008 where representing players would compete across pre-determined team matchups, with a host account being used in order to allow for specific player lineups to be a surprise during the event. This idea got as far as initial preparations and signups; out of the 7 teams that organized, there exists evidence of a "Team WMM", a "Team Tennis Fucks", a "Team Hogan" and a "Team FOXHOUND" in the old Tennis Cafe thread of this time. RAKninja however became inactive due to real life events, leaving the official commencement of the event in limbo, and Gallers' unexpected appearance to start his own take on the Tennis League 3 ended up taking precedence. He would lay his claim to the invention of the League format in his organization, saying "None of that team bollocks or owt like that", and participants would be extended to allowed for 4 divisions in this event, double that of the [[Tennis League 2]]. Gallers himself would not participate however, and after only two weeks his motivation for hosting the event would rapidly vanish. He would transfer control of the tournament over to Terrorist, then a moderator of the YouChew forums, and Gallers would then retire from tennis entirely. RAKninja's concept would be later expanded upon over the next year and take place in the much more elaborate form of the [[Tennis Season]].

The final two rounds provided a quiz to its viewers; in round 5, questions were asked about the previous rounds of the match and presented via a google form. In round 6, the answers were revealed along with how everyone did.

The '''Match Voting Tournament''' or '''MVT''' was a Youtube Poop Tennis tournament that began January 8th, 2016 and ended in March 2017, hosted by GameBop with the help of the active Café Staff at that time. The tournament was the most populated tennis related event since the Tennis Season, has since been praised for helping further to rekindle and re-inspire the original spirit of tennis in the community, with its focus on the quality of matches rather than individual players, an approach which usually resulted in skewed directions across tennis matches in previous competitions. The winners of this tournament were ravinrabbid123 and GameBop, giving GameBop an unprecedented third tournament win and making ravinrabbid123 the first and only active site admin of the YouChew forums to win a tennis tournament.

It was the first tournament to feature {{gabrielpika}}, {{VidTens443}}, MrAsir17, DTN7758 and {{IAMSAPER}}, the final tournament to feature {{cyclejunkie}}, Cornflakes, {{djninjalovemistake}} and {{JacobketronCT}}, and the only tournament to feature Username 99, darthanader, Matth89812, ReaderGamerSinger, CyberPlayer1337, BeanosOnToast, Fujoshi, SonicGLMytp, and DiscoGlacier. dew would not return for another tournament until the [[Tennis League 5]] in 2019.

=Information=
MVT followed the Match Voting rules. Per GameBop's original post on YouChew, the concept of Match Voting was:

To select and vote on the best matches from each set, rather than the individual players in each match. Once all matches in a set are completed, people can vote and give scores (from 0.0-10.0) for each of the matches, and from there the players in the matches with the highest scores will advance and be randomized into different match-ups in the next set, while those with the lowest scores will be eliminated.

The '''Doubles Cup 3''', or '''DC3''' was the third doubles cup format [[Tennis Tournament]], and the sixteenth tournament overall. It was hosted primarily by Metroid998 and lasted from May 24, 2017 to September 10, 2018; the last tournament of the YouChew forums era, ending only weeks before the site was shut down.

Unlike the previous and subsequent Doubles Cups, the Doubles Cup 3 opted for 4 round League-style matches in which every single round was made collaboratively, much like the Doubles variant week of the Tennis Season. The event coincided with notable advances in technology since the previous Doubles Cup, such as the use of software such as Parsec which allowed multiple people to work remotely over a single computer, and multiple pairs of teammates utilized this to create their collaborative rounds. The tournament has been retrospectively noted for being a large, last blast of tennis creativity on the YouChew forums, with the ability to now seamlessly collaborate being one of the shining qualities of many matches and individual collab rounds. The winners were eventually the duo of {{CheeChee}} and {{Razerek}}.

It was the first tennis competition to feature lonrefne, mapo, Zekii, BoommDaCorgi1337, gsgiraffes, Dozzyrok and CamHead, the final competition to feature AshcrementVII, TehShadzify, Baycunn(SergeantBacon), fiv95, Soucisse Verte, ThirtyTwelve, trepmaws, LaVieCestLol, ravinrabbid123, Sid, laromande, MycroProcessor, theFXexpert, Peskeh, thatcomputerperson, IAMSAPER, DTN7758, MrAsir17/53v3n733n and CorruptionSound, and the only competition to feature Octagoncoil/Autoxy, Frankey, Orlyx, AntiCheese, Tetrareux, TogeBosso, YTPNerdette, GTLYTP, Master Sword, dingoytp and TheYTPkid859. It is also to date the most recently played tournament by TheChutley.

This doubles cup was different compared to the others that have been played; instead of the usual 6-round format with collaborative rounds at the end, DC3 had four rounds per match, where ''all'' rounds were collaborative. The '''Match Voting Tournament''' or '''MVT''' was a Youtube Poop Tennis tournament that began January 8th, 2016 and ended in March 2017, hosted by GameBop with the help of the active Café Staff at that time. The tournament was the most populated tennis related event since the Tennis Season, has since been praised for helping further to rekindle and re-inspire the original spirit of tennis in the community, with its focus on the quality of matches rather than individual players, an approach which usually resulted in skewed directions across tennis matches in previous competitions. The winners of this tournament were ravinrabbid123 and GameBop, giving GameBop an unprecedented third tournament win and making ravinrabbid123 the first and only active site admin of the YouChew forums to win a tennis tournament.

It was the first tournament to feature gabrielpika, VidTens443, MrAsir17, DTN7758 and IAMSAPER, the final tournament to feature cyclejunkie, Cornflakes, djninjalovemistake and JacobketronCT, and the only tournament to feature Username 99, darthanader, MatthewTheKlaskyMenX3, ReadeGamerSinger, CyberPlayer1337, BeanosOnToast, Fujoshi, SonicGLMytp, and DiscoGlacier. dew would not return for another tournament until the [[Tennis League 5]] in 2019.

MVT followed the Match Voting rules. Per GameBop's original post on YouChew, the concept of Match Voting was:

To select and vote on the best matches from each set, rather than the individual players in each match. Once all matches in a set are completed, people can vote and give scores (from 0.0-10.0) for each of the matches, and from there the players in the matches with the highest scores will advance and be randomized into different match-ups in the next set, while those with the lowest scores will be eliminated.

Tennis Cup 5 was a Youtube Poop [[tennis tournament]] hosted on YTPMania from 2023 to 2024, the fourth tournament hosted on the site and the 20th overall. It was the first tennis competition of the standard cup variety in over a decade, following the [[Tennis Cup 4]] in 2012. It's eventual winner was Infinitysnapz.

This is the first tennis competition to feature slabsten84, KCZ1, InfernAl_Toad, Yottidifferent, atomic_glitch, Diolary478, BLΛCKFLΣX, Retired Arc, rjnjrn, arayoru, cashlost2, False Flesh, BluMndy, uncool_memes, piotrek117, greenboy, DisorganizedDweller and Mask9999, and the final tennis competition to feature Dozzyrok. A camera was placed in the middle and spun around with a Lazy Susan, rapidly speeding up until cutting to black.

* slabsten's serve continues these ideas, adding some of their own. Some added sources include asdfmovie.
* round 3 had a pretty interesting effect; a cube was rendered out in frames, then traced with the "wiggle art" program to make a cool 3d outline.

slabsten dropped out after round 3, giving doog the automatic win.

The '''Match Voting Tournament''' or '''MVT''' was a Youtube Poop Tennis tournament that began January 8th, 2016 and ended in March 2017, hosted by GameBop with the help of the active Café Staff at that time. The tournament was the most populated tennis related event since the Tennis Season, has since been praised for helping further to rekindle and re-inspire the original spirit of tennis in the community, with its focus on the quality of matches rather than individual players, an approach which usually resulted in skewed directions across tennis matches in previous competitions. The winners of this tournament were ravinrabbid123 and GameBop, giving GameBop an unprecedented third tournament win and making ravinrabbid123 the first and only active site admin of the YouChew forums to win a tennis tournament.

It was the first tournament to feature gabrielpika, VidTens443, MrAsir17, DTN7758 and IAMSAPER, the final tournament to feature cyclejunkie, Cornflakes, djninjalovemistake and JacobketronCT, and the only tournament to feature Username 99, darthanader, MatthewTheKlaskyMenX3, ReadeGamerSinger, CyberPlayer1337, BeanosOnToast, Fujoshi, SonicGLMytp, and DiscoGlacier. dew would not return for another tournament until the [[Tennis League 5]] in 2019.

MVT followed the Match Voting rules. Per GameBop's original post on YouChew, the concept of Match Voting was:

To select and vote on the best matches from each set, rather than the individual players in each match. Once all matches in a set are completed, people can vote and give scores (from 0.0-10.0) for each of the matches, and from there the players in the matches with the highest scores will advance and be randomized into different match-ups in the next set, while those with the lowest scores will be eliminated.

The '''Doubles Cup 3''', or '''DC3''' was the third doubles cup format [[Tennis Tournament]], and the sixteenth tournament overall. It was hosted primarily by Metroid998 and lasted from May 24, 2017 to September 10, 2018; the last tournament of the YouChew forums era, ending only weeks before the site was shut down.

Unlike the previous and subsequent Doubles Cups, the Doubles Cup 3 opted for 4 round League-style matches in which every single round was made collaboratively, much like the Doubles variant week of the Tennis Season. The event coincided with notable advances in technology since the previous Doubles Cup, such as the use of software such as Parsec which allowed multiple people to work remotely over a single computer, and multiple pairs of teammates utilized this to create their collaborative rounds. The tournament has been retrospectively noted for being a large, last blast of tennis creativity on the YouChew forums, with the ability to now seamlessly collaborate being one of the shining qualities of many matches and individual collab rounds. The winners were eventually the duo of {{CheeChee}} and {{Razerek}}.

It was the first tennis competition to feature lonrefne, mapo, Zekii, BoommDaCorgi1337, gsgiraffes, Dozzyrok and CamHead, the final competition to feature AshcrementVII, TehShadzify, Baycunn(SergeantBacon), fiv95, Soucisse Verte, ThirtyTwelve, trepmaws, LaVieCestLol, ravinrabbid123, Sid, laromande, MycroProcessor, theFXexpert, Peskeh, thatcomputerperson, IAMSAPER, DTN7758, MrAsir17/53v3n733n and CorruptionSound, and the only competition to feature Octagoncoil/Autoxy, Frankey, Orlyx, AntiCheese, Tetrareux, TogeBosso, YTPNerdette, GTLYTP, Master Sword, dingoytp and TheYTPkid859. This doubles cup was different compared to the others that have been played; instead of the usual 6-round format with collaborative rounds at the end, DC3 had four rounds per match, where ''all'' rounds were collaborative.
